About Us
Where Nebraska’s best anglers meet Nebraska’s best waters.
The Nebraska Walleye Series is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting competitive walleye fishing, conservation, and camaraderie. Our mission is to provide a professional, fair, and enjoyable tournament experience that highlights Nebraska’s lakes and reservoirs while encouraging responsible angling practices.
We strive to make every event accessible and rewarding — from first-time competitors to seasoned veterans. Through a mix of live weigh-in and e-tournament formats, we aim to showcase the diversity of Nebraska’s waters and the talent of our anglers.
Our Story
The idea for the Nebraska Walleye Series was born from a group of dedicated anglers who saw a need for a statewide, well-organized series that truly represented Nebraska’s fishing community. What started as a conversation among friends quickly turned into a plan to build something lasting — a series that connects anglers, promotes conservation, and gives back to the sport.
In 2026, two long-standing forces in Nebraska walleye fishing — the Nebraska Walleye Trail and the Nebraska Walleye Association — came together with a shared vision. Rather than operating separately, both organizations recognized the opportunity to unite their strengths, resources, and memberships to create something bigger and more impactful.
This merger marked the official formation of the Nebraska Walleye Series — a single, statewide series built to elevate competitive walleye fishing while staying rooted in conservation, education, and community. By combining decades of experience in tournament operations, youth outreach, and angler advocacy, the Nebraska Walleye Series represents a new chapter for the sport in Nebraska — one that honors the past while building a stronger, more unified future for anglers across the state.
